It is our mission to encourage student success by enriching the student experience outside the classroom, providing opportunities for engagement and leadership development, and supporting the growth of the whole student. Whether it's serving as a liaison between students, faculty, and other administrators, coordinating student activities, assisting Student Organizations with events, or connecting our first-year students to our seasoned second- and third-year students through our Peer Mentoring Program, the Office of Student Affairs aims to create a supportive student experience. We also offer counseling, on both academic and personal matters, ranging from course selection, Bar application support, health challenges that may arise as you pursue your legal education, and support during family emergencies. Denver Law benefits from the vitality and ideas of its students and we welcome your engagement and feedback.
Our office, in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, provides a non-exhaustive list of resources, both internal and external to DU, that we hope offers meaningful ways to gain support, find community, and obtain information for students. It is one way in which we seek to remind you that you belong at Denver Law. We are eager to connect with you so please reach out to the DEI Office and Student Affairs and let us know what type of support we may provide. To view resources for students who are members of the LGBTQIA community, students of color at Denver Law, and military veterans, please visit here: https://www.law.du.edu/about/diversity-and-inclusive-excellence#dei-comm...
Additionally, we work with DU's Disability Services Program to coordinate accommodations for students, with the Equal Opportunity & Title IX Office with issues of sexual harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct, and with the office of Student Outreach and Support to help students meet their goals and navigate challenging situations.
The Office of Student Affairs is also responsible for:
