Law and Emerging Technologies Program

Formally launched in 2025, the Law and Emerging Technologies Program prepares future lawyers to navigate a rapidly evolving legal landscape shaped by artificial intelligence, large-language models, and the coming era of quantum technologies. At the core of the program is dynamic coursework, a robust lecture series, conferences, and invited talks that bring students into direct conversation with leading scholars, policymakers, and industry practitioners. These interdisciplinary engagements are designed to immerse students in the technologies reshaping modern legal practice and to cultivate the technological literacy that today’s lawyers increasingly require.

The program also features key faculty who teach courses such as Law and Emerging TechnologiesAI and the Future of the Legal ProfessionAI, Privacy, and Emerging Technologies, and Comparative AI Governance, ensuring that students engage deeply with both the technologies transforming legal practice and the frameworks required to understand and govern them. With this combined foundation, the program prepares graduates to think critically, lead responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to the legal architecture of the coming technological era.
