Professional Biography
Kelly (she/her) began her career working in legal aid, contributing to the Medical-Legal Partnership in Central Illinois. She then went on to receive her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2021. While in school, Kelly received the Jack Ankus Memorial Service Award, given to a student who demonstrates exceptional service to individuals in need of assistance. Kelly relocated to Colorado in 2021 to begin work at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender. As a public defender, Kelly represented thousands of indigent persons charged with criminal offenses ranging from traffic cases to felonies. In 2023, Kelly began working in private criminal defense, assisting with every level of offense throughout the state of Colorado.
