Professional Biography
Jess Beaulieu manages the University of Denver’s Animal Law Program. She also sits on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission, a governor-appointed board that sets regulations and policies for Colorado’s state parks and wildlife programs. Prior to these roles, Jess practiced as a public interest attorney in the field of dependency and neglect at Muhaisen & Muhaisen, LLC. Previously, she was a fellow at the Center for Biological Diversity in Denver, CO, advocating for the protection of western wildlife. Jess received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, where she focused on environmental and animal law. She additionally holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida.
