The Civil Litigation Clinic (CLC) is happy to report that with the help of adjunct professor Theresa Vogel it has been able to represent individuals seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and asylum as well as individuals in immigration detention seeking bond (see below for more information about Theresa).
On October 12, 2017, Environmental Law Clinic Students Travis Parker and Erica Montague, both second-year students at the Sturm College of Law, argued in Denver City and County District Court on behalf of a neighborhood group in Greeley claiming that a state agency was failing to follow its regulations when approving large oil and gas development projects in residential communities.
On Nov 2nd, 2016, Sara Lindsey Peterson and Joshua Mangiagli faced off against Chelsea Moore and Doyle Bode in this year’s Daniel S. Hoffman Cup Championship round.
March 2016. The Center for Advocacy recently crowned this year’s The Advocates Cup’sChampions. The Cup pairs 1Ls with 2L & 3L partners, to help students be practice-ready graduates.
Our National Trial Team finished in 5th Place (technically tied for 4th place) in a field of 22 teams at Georgetown Law School’s National White Collar Crime Trial Advocacy Tournament.
The Daniel S. Hoffman Memorial Trial Advocacy Tournament is the “crown jewel” advocacy tournament for upperclassmen at our law school.
Our Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team competed at the Pacific Regional competition in Portland, Oregon.
