4:00pm - 5:30pm

Ricketson Law Building Forum, 2255 E. Evans Ave., Denver, CO

Colorado Supreme Court

Join us for a discussion for lawyers and non-lawyers alike that offers clarity on how judges actually decide cases at a moment when the courts are often in the news. This 90-minute panel moves beyond the headlines to explore the role of judges in our constitutional system of government, including the boundaries of judicial power, the role personal perspectives play in judicial decision-making, and how reasonable disagreements can arise even within a shared commitment to the rule of law.

Panelists will include Judge Timothy M. Tymkovich, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit; Chief Justice Monica M. Márquez, Colorado Supreme Court; Chief Judge Susan J. Blanco, 8th Judicial District; and Magistrate Judge Cyrus Y. Chung, United States District Court for the District of Colorado.

Space is limited; registration required to attend. This event is co-sponsored by the Constitutional Rights and Remedies Program and Public Interest Programs at Denver Law, the Faculty of Federal Advocates, and the Colorado Bar Association.
