Professional Biography
Jeffrey Kass is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in trademark, false advertising, patent, copyright and trade secrets law. He is a partner at the national law firm Dickinson Wright in its Denver office. He has handled numerous IP trials in federal and state court across the U.S. in a variety of industries, including in the apparel, athletic, personal computing, natural products, auto and home warranty, and luggage categories. The National Law Journal named Jeffrey one of the top 50 trailblazing IP trial lawyers in the country. Jeffrey has lectured to lawyers and entrepreneurs over the past 20 years on a variety of trademark and other IP issues. He previously was an adjunct professor at the University of Toledo College of Law, teaching IP Litigation. Outside of the legal arena, Jeffrey is a nationally recognized speaker and award-winning author. He has authored three books and nearly 500 articles on a wide range of topics relating to race, ethnicity, education and history. He was nominated for the prestigious literary Pushcart Prize, and was named by the largest writer’s platform, Medium, as a top 50 writer on racism and diversity. Jeffrey serves on the executive board of the Urban Leadership Foundation of Colorado and he’s the social action chair of the Denver chapter of Phi Beta Sigma, among numerous other civic engagements. He’s a world traveler, a lover of fashion, chef and above all a proud father of three young adults.
