Professional Biography

Jason Pedraza (he/him) is an assistant professor of the practice of law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Jason teaches in the Lawyering Process Program, training the next generation of lawyers to be rigorous thinkers, effective writers, and skilled advocates. His work has appeared in reports and guides for the Education Law Center, and he has presented on school integration and children’s rights issues.

Before joining DU, Jason practiced at Holland & Hart as a litigator, served as an assistant attorney general counseling Colorado’s higher education institutions, clerked at the Colorado Supreme Court, and worked as a Skadden Fellow at the Education Law Center.

Jason earned his JD from New York University School of Law, as a Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholar, MA in higher education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and AB from Princeton University. Prior to law school, Jason worked across the education sector as a teacher and program administrator.
