Professional Biography

A.M. "Kip" Hunter III graduated cum laude from the University of Virginia (1981) and earned his JD from the University of Denver (1986). While completing his degree, he interned at the U.S. Tobacco Company, drafting contracts and assisting in litigation and regulatory compliance.

In 1987, he joined Graham & James in New York, specializing in international corporate litigation and commercial transactions. He founded Hunter & Associates in 1990, focusing on corporate liability defense and serving as General Counsel for small businesses. From 2001–2004, he was CEO of Atlas Engine Technologies, managing R&D, IP, and fundraising.

Later, he helped list Sundance Energy Australia on the ASX (2005) and became its General Counsel (2007–2012), overseeing transactions, compliance, and governance for the $500M+ company. After leaving Sundance, he resumed private practice before joining Hall Estill in 2016, where he handles corporate law and serves on the Board.

Hunter's expertise spans litigation, finance, governance, and executive leadership.
