Professional Biography
Ian Karpel is an Assistant Regional Director, Enforcement Division, at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He has conducted or led more than 100 enforcement investigations. Before joining the SEC in 2000, he was an associate at Holland & Hart LLP and a partner at Patterson & Karpel PC. He has degrees from the University of Colorado, University of San Francisco, and Georgetown University Law Center.
