National Trial Team Wins Championship at the In Vino Veritas National Invitational

For the second consecutive year, Kevin Keyes and Kyle McFarlane, the University of Denver Sturm College of Law National Trial Team coaches, led their team to the Championships of the San Francisco-based In Vino Veritas national invitational. In fall 2020, the squad brought home the tournament crown, winning in the Championship.

Participating students, Lindsey Hanselman, Liz Hersey, Holly Spease, Alex Uri, tackled webcams, body microphones and halo light, defeating competing teams in all five rounds of the competition. This is the third tournament crown for the third consecutive year that our National Trial Team has won on this national stage.

Hosted by the Golden Gate University School of Law and the GGU Litigation Center, the Annual Professor Bernie Segal National Criminal Mock Trial Competition In Vino Veritas, is a tough competition, featuring sixteen teams who will maintain assessment from the Bay area's most seasoned trial lawyers and presiding judges, including the Honorable Judge Victoria Kolakowski, the first elected, openly transgender trial judge in the United States.
