Event Details

The Clinical Programs will celebrate its 110th anniversary in 2014, and Professor Emeritus Howard Rosenberg is retiring after more than 50 years of dedication to the students at Denver Law and to the underserved in the community. There is much to celebrate! In honor of these milestones, the law school will hold a weekend of celebration and commemoration April 11-12, 2014. We are very excited to announce that the keynote speaker for this event will be MacArthur Foundation Fellow, NYU Law Professor and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, Bryan Stevenson, who will discuss major legal challenges eliminating excessive and unfair sentencing, exonerating innocent prisoners on death row, and aiding children prosecuted as adults. In 2012, Professor Stevenson received the longest standing ovation in the history of TED talks at the conclusion of his presentation, “We Need to Talk about an Injustice.”
