Student Mentoring Program
Get Involved and Sign Up Today! » The University of Denver Sturm College of Law would like to extend an invitation to attorneys and judges in the metropolitan Denver area to participate in the Lawyering Process Mentor Program. This program provides a fun and fulfilling way to volunteer your time and make a positive difference in a first-year law student’s legal career. This program was developed in the fall semester of 2005 by the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Alumni Council, the Lawyering Process program, and the legal research and writing program. The Mentor Program involves the use of a classroom curriculum to provide the focus for a mentor-student relationship. You will meet your student in the context of this class, but it is our hope that you and your student will become friends and that your friendship will continue not only during the student’s law school career, but also into your student’s professional career. We estimate that the program will require approximately 2-3 hours per semester. You will meet your student at least three times during each semester with an assigned topic for each meeting. Additional meetings are at the option of both the mentor and the student. Please take a moment to fill out the online form and join the Lawyering Process Mentor Program. Once we receive your completed application, we will provide further details. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact Christopher Massey, Lawyering Process mentor manager, regarding any questions or further information. Thanks in advance for your commitment and involvement to the Mentor Program. Sincerely,
