Why Give to DU Law?
A gift to the University of Denver Sturm College of Law is an investment in a better future, because at the Sturm College of Law we are preparing ethical lawyers to meet the needs of a changing society.
Located in one of the world’s most exciting and diverse metropolitan areas, with a renowned faculty, a rich and dynamic curriculum, a diverse and aspiring student body, and world-class facilities, the Sturm College of Law is at the forefront of the nation’s law schools.
DU Law’s revenues — which are mainly tuition-driven — do not cover the full cost of providing an exceptional education for our students.
Annual gifts from alumni and friends are directed to:
• Scholarships for talented students
• Supporting student experiences outside the classroom, such as moot court competitions, academic conferences, and special on-campus speakers
Major Gifts, generally of $50,000 and above, are often used to create a lasting legacy by establishing or contributing to an endowed fund. Endowments are permanent assets that generate income to support particular programs or areas specified by the donor.
Planned gifts made through a bequest, charitable trust or life insurance policy are ways that donors can use gift planning principles to benefit the College of Law.
