The Named & Endowed Scholarship Reception takes place in the fall of each year and is our way of acknowledging the contributions of the individuals, corporations and foundations that support the University of Denver Sturm College of Law via student scholarships.
The success of the reception comes from our connecting the numerous scholarship donors with their respective student recipients. We have found that by giving both groups the opportunity to meet in person, new relationships are formed and immediate feedback is provided regarding the benefits of scholarship support. In doing so, contributors get a first-hand look at how their philanthropy is being used and benefiting our many talented and deserving student scholars. For the students, the chance to speak in person provides the opportunity to thank donors personally, network within the Denver legal community and create new professional friendships.
Over 100 student scholars, 60 donors, key faculty and staff, the Dean of the Sturm College of Law and the University Chancellor attend the event each year, making it one of the premiere events hosted by the Office of Alumni and Development.
