Loan Forgiveness, Cancellation and Repayment Assistance

There are a number of programs through which you can qualify for loan forgiveness, cancellation or repayment assistance. These programs are provided by the DU College of Law, various state governments, the federal government. These programs include:

• Public Service Loan Forgiveness for those employed in the public service sector: including federal, state and local governments and non-profit agencies.
• Denver Law Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) for those employed in the public service sector
• Additional Loan Repayment Assistance Programs are offered by states and the federal government, also for completing service in the public sector
• The federal government has other cancellation provisions for students who borrow Perkins Loans, repay their loans under the Income-Based Repayment Plan, or meet other requirements
