**Health insurance is required to attend the University of Denver. You may obtain insurance through the school or through a private plan.

***Health insurance figures are based on 12 month coverage.

  • Financial Aid amount available each year, including Graduate Plus or private student loans, (if you have good credit) equals the cost of attendance
  • New students pay a (one time only) Student Bar Association Fee (SBA) of $190 which is NOT included in the budget
  • Tuition generally increases 5% to 7% each year
  • The cost of your laptop for the first year of law school can be added to your financial aid budget, enabling you to borrow additional private or Grad PLUS loan. You will need to turn in a copy of the receipt for the purchase to the central Financial Aid office
  • The Admission Deposit(s) you made prior to school starting are credited to your student account upon matriculation
  • First year students will get a refund check for fall semester (if applicable), once school starts and financial aid is in order
  • 2L and 3L Day students taking less than 12 credits and 2L, 3L and 4L Evening students taking less than 8 credits should contact the Office of Financial Management for an updated cost of attendance
  • Refund checks are mailed directly to the student’s mailing address. Please check your student account or webCentral and confirm that the correct address is on file
  • You may also set up direct deposit of your refund:
    1. Go online to MyWeb ยป
    2. Login and choose Personal Information
    3. Choose Add/Change Bank Account Info
    4. Choose Insert New
    5. Fill in the bank information
    6. The routing number is the first number on the bottom of your check or deposit slip on the left hand side. It’s usually nine digits.
    7. The account number is the number immediately to the right of the routing number. It can vary in its number of digits dependent on your bank.
    8. Deposits usually take 48 hours to reach your account.

Cost of Attendance can be increased on a case by case basis for the cost of tuition for a credit overload, for child care, and for the purchase of a computer by completing a Financial Aid Appeal. Return the Budget Adjustment Form to the Office of Financial Aid, room 210 University Hall or fax the form to 303.871.2341. Please note the form deadlines for each term.
