Ryan Finsrud Howell

Ryan Howell has acted as outside general counsel for hundreds of startups in industries ranging from software and technology to ecommerce and healthcare. He advises clients on all matters from startup to exit, including formation, capital raising (including debt and equity financings), commercial transactions, and M&A. Ryan provides strategic legal counsel that is effective, understandable, efficient, and solution-focused.

Ryan is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he teaches Venture Law, and serves on the board of Impact Charitable, a non-profit seeking to bridge the gap between traditional investing and traditional philanthropy.

Prior to Rubicon, Ryan worked on the founding teams of several venture backed startups and as in-house counsel at a private equity firm.

Ryan received his JD/MBA from the University of Denver, and his BA from Brigham Young University where he studied International Politics. Ryan also studied at Peking University.
