Join the Ved Nanda Center and the Corporate and Commercial Law Program for a talk by Klára Hurychová, a Professor at Charles University in the Department of Business Law in Prague. 

The presentation will focus on introducing the corporate governance system in Europe, with an emphasis on the Czech Republic, and comparing it with the American system. It will focus on current trends in corporate governance, particularly the discussion on the purpose of the corporation and the liability of members of elected bodies. This discussion is a response to recent extensive EU legislation around Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). It will also mention, for example, the regulation of multiple voting rights, gender balance on Boards, and say on pay.
