You may begin your course of study in either mid-August ( fall semester) or mid-January (spring semester).

There is no deadline to apply and applications are accepted year-round.

US applicants must submit forms ADP1 and ADP2 and have their official transcripts sent directly to us.

International applicants must submit forms ADP1, ADP2, ADP3, and ADP4 and include their official transcripts in the application packet. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

TOEFL is required for foreign students whose first language or language of instruction is not English. Please have ETS send your TOEFL score directly to us (institution code: 4842 03). We also accept the IELTS test.

Admission Requirements

LLM Candidates A candidate for the LLM must have earned a Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree from a law school that is a member of the Association of American Law Schools or is approved by the American Bar Association, or in the case of a foreign candidate, must have completed a law degree with high academic standards from a recognized foreign university.
MRLS Candidates MRLS candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution, or in the case of a foreign candidate, obtained the equivalent of a bachelor's degree from an acknowledged institution of higher learning.
CS Candidates CS candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution, or in the case of a foreign candidate, obtained the equivalent of a bachelor's degree from an acknowledged institution of higher learning.  A CS candidate who has completed all or some of the requirements for the award of the Certificate of Studies in Natural Resources Law and Policy at a standard satisfactory to the Director of Advanced Degree Studies, and who meets the above LLM or MRLS basic requirements, may be permitted to transfer to the LLM or MRLS degree programs with advanced standing and to undertake an additional period of study to complete the requirements for the degree.
