OUTLaws
Mission Statement
OUTLaws is the LGBTQ student organization at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Our primary goal is to create a safe and inclusive space for ALL students, including those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer, as well as allies. The group is open to all students regardless of orientation or identity. The OUTLaws strive to create an environment where we are encouraged and empowered to develop professionally, socially, and academically.
We are committed to legal education, social interaction, and positive change. To do so, we organize educational programs on topics about legal, political, and social issues concerning the LGBTQ community. In addition, the group hosts social events to give students the opportunity to network with each other, members of Colorado’s LGBT Bar Association, DU faculty, and LGBTQ students from other graduate schools at both DU and CU.
We’re always happy to help current students, future law students, and alumni. See the Officers and Info page for our contact information.
