BLS Goals

The first goal of the Business Law Society is to provide its members with opportunities to interact with lawyers and other professionals in the Denver business community and throughout the United States. The Business Law Society sponsors events which bring law students in contact with representatives of various fields, providing a unique opportunity for the student to listen and ask questions in an informal atmosphere. Our goal is to afford students a chance to inquire into fields of law relating to business, to provide students with networking opportunities, and to prepare students for practice in the business and corporate sector.

The second goal of the Business Law Society is to build a strong sense of community within the College of Law and Daniels College of Business. BLS looks for opportunities to sponsor events and activities with other student organizations that will foster a greater understanding of DU’s diverse student body. BLS seeks to be an all inclusive organization building bridges of trust and understanding among its members and the entire law school community.

Our third goal is to amplify the standing and prestige of the University of Denver College of Law. BLS supports events that have a positive influence on our school’s national reputation and perception. Our school is an outstanding institution of higher education for the study of law; and it is our responsibility to further the positive perception of our school. We look to organize events and activities which will promote the university’s standing and reputation throughout the legal community. BLS seeks to help the College of Law become the premier law school for the study of business law.
