Professional Mentoring Program

Orientation Information

Due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19 we have decided that all of our Fall 2020 Professional Mentoring Program ("Program") orientations will take place virtually via Zoom.

We have amended our original schedule as follows:

Tuesday, August 25th 6 to 8 pm
Saturday, August 29th 12:30 to 2 pm
Tuesday, September 1st 7 to 9 am

Each Zoom orientation will last approximately an hour. Following the hour, mentors and mentees will have the option to meet 1:1 in a virtual breakout room.

We will send an invitation to all Program participants with additional details, including links to register. Links to the Zoom meeting will be sent to those that have registered in advance.

You can also register for an orientation here.

In addition to the live orientations, we will record one of our orientations and post it online.

In each matching email there is a link to sign an online Mentoring Agreement. We require all Program participants to sign this agreement. If you do not sign online, you can send us a scan of your signed agreement (included in the orientation materials) to mentor@law.du.edu.

*All references in our Program materials to meet/meetings are based on in-person meetings. We ask all Program participants to follow applicable guidance and executive orders when meeting in-person. All Denver Law students have access to a free Zoom account and are asked to utilize this if their mentor does not have a viable alternative for virtual meetings. There is no requirement that mentors and mentees meet in person. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to communicate their preferences and be aware that their mentor/mentee may prefer virtual meetings only. Additional details for students can be found here.

**Our Mentor Resource Guide (also included in our orientation materials) may contain references to in-person events that may or may not be taking place this academic year. If you have questions or concerns about an event, please reach out to the hosting department via the contact information contained within the guide or please contact us at mentor@law.du.edu.
