The DUnet printers, including the color printer, are located on the second floor next to the elevator. On the first and third floors of the library, the printers are located in the copy rooms in the northeast corner of the library. If you have questions regarding the printers, please visit the circulation desk.

Getting your Computer Set Up for DU Net Printers

Printing in the law school is set up by DUnet and the Main Campus University Technology Services Department. You can send print jobs to the printers from your laptops once you have installed them following the instructions linked below or you can send the job to the printers from any of the computers in the law library. In order to print to the DUnet printers, laptop users will need to install software

To download and install software visit:  DUnet Setup

  1. Once you have installed the software, print your document. The default settings for all printers is duplex and B&W. See the Setting Print Options page for information on changing defaults.

  3. In the pop up window, enter your student ID (87#) number in the box.
  4. Once you have sent the job to the printers, visit one of the designated print stations. Note: If you select the color printer, “DUnet CP5425”, you will have to visit the color printer on the second floor.
  5. Swipe your Pioneer ID card in the black card reader under the monitor.
  6. A list of your print jobs in the queue will appear. Select the print job and the hit print.
  7. The total cost of a document can be viewed near the bottom of a DUnet Print Station after the document has been selected and before clicking “Print.”
  8. You should then select Log Off to prevent others from using your account. If you don’t log off, the print station will automatically time out after six seconds and return to the opening screen. Jobs are automatically purged after sitting idle for two hours within the print queues.

Please note:

  • To print color copies, select the printer named, “Law CP5425.” Color jobs print from the color printer which is located on Level 2 of the library. The default is set to B&W so you will need to change the default setting before printing. See the Setting Print Options page for information on changing defaults.
  • Instructions for double sided printing are available here.
  • The DUnet print system is the same system that the rest of campus uses. If you do not have a Pioneer Card, you can buy copy cards at the Circulation Desk on Level 2. The cards can be used for copiers and printers all over campus. Users can add value to their copy or Pioneer Card using cash at the VTS machine in Penrose Library or at the Pioneer Office in Driscoll. Value can also be added to Pioneer cards via credit card on the Pioneer Card website.
  • If there are any issues with the printers, see the circulation staff at the library to troubleshoot the problem and to pay for a repeat print if necessary.
