General Information About the Grant Process
Applications are reviewed on a bi-weekly basis, so please apply at least a month in advance to ensure fund transfers.
If your application is for more than $250 total, it will require C-Scholar board approval at our next monthly meeting. Therefore, requests in excess of $250 may take over a month to receive approval and applicants should plan accordingly. Please consider requesting $250 or lower unless your event would not be possible without a higher amount.
When applying for funding, please also be aware that we will be requesting a follow-up report within one month of your event’s conclusion. This report will ask for a summary of your final budget numbers for transparency purposes, so please keep records.
C-Scholar grants are intended to be used in conjunction with other funding. We strongly encourage applicants to secure co-sponsorships or to use their own funds in addition to a grant.
C-Scholar grants are not affiliated directly with the Chancellor’s office. The Chancellor Scholars are a group of students committed to public interest who vote to approve or deny grants. For more information about our group, please visit our website here.?>
