Biglaw - The Practice of Large Law Firms |

The rise and growth of large law firms has been one of the most important developments in the U.S. legal profession over the past century. The seminar will explore topics such as the organization of large law firms, why and how they grow, training and mentoring, who makes partner and why, and the relationship of BigLaw with its entity clients and in-house lawyers. It will also examine the impact of BigLaw on lawyers outside of it, studying topics such as how large law firms define merit and success, compete in the market for legal services, and address equality, equity and diversity concerns.
