Legislative Drafting |
This course will focus on developing practical skills and strategies for drafting legislation. In addition to learning the goals and unique problems facing legislative drafters, students will study the standard conventions for drafting effective legislation, theories of statutory interpretation, and the most frequent court challenges to enacted legislation. Drafting exercises throughout the semester will provide an experiential component that prepares students to apply their skills in real-world situations.
