Criminal Justice Reform in Practice Seminar |

Criminal Justice Reform is a hot topic on both sides of the political aisle. Discussions about mass incarceration, racial disparity, mandatory sentences, the efficacy of long sentences, drug offenders, police brutality, bail reform, and more abound each news cycle. Through studies we are learning more about what works and what needs to be changed. How can an entry level prosecutor or defense attorney, overburdened with cases and learning to litigate, apply what we are learning about these issues in practice? In this Course we will discuss the "hot topics" in criminal justice reform, learn the facts established by reputable studies about these debated issues, and determine how these facts can inform and enhance your day to day practice as a prosecutor or defense attorney.
