Transactional Negotiations |
This course introduces students to the theory and practice of negotiation. The course will provide a conceptual framework of negotiation and the opportunity to practice and enhance negotiation skills through simulations. The aim of the course is to introduce students to negotiation theory, improve students understanding of negotiation approaches and tactics, and most importantly put those theories and approaches into practice through a variety of negotiation simulations. The course will include a combination of readings, short lectures, class discussions, negotiation simulations, negotiation simulation review and deconstruction (through the use of students' recorded simulations), and personal reflection. You will spend a significant amount of time in simulated negotiation role-plays both within and outside the classroom.
