Environmental Litigation |

Through a combination of case-law work and practical assignments, this environmental litigation course will teach you the fundamentals of pretrial practice through the lens of environmental law. After discussing how evidence and discovery impact complex environmental matters we will turn to a case study of the Deepwater Horizon case for practical experience. Students will evaluate the approaches various parties took to drafting complaints, motions and depositions. The final exam will consist of a written test and mock direct examination of an expert witness based on expert reports filed in the Deepwater case.
