Food Law & Policy | 47xx
This course will introduce students to essential topics in food law and policy that cover all aspects of the food chain, from production to consumption. They will include food safety, food fraud, food justice, food labeling, food marketing, food waste, local food, street food, fast food, school lunches, USDA nutrition programs, obesity, and new food innovations through technology. Students will meet and interview players in the local food industries and movements; write policy briefs; and pen opinion pieces.
