Privacy Seminar | L4008

This course focuses on data privacy from a corporate perspective (e.g. what can Google and Facebook do with their customers' personal identifiable information). Students will examine sector specific privacy laws and more general laws like the European Union’s GDPR and California’s Consumer Privacy Act. The course will also touch on privacy issues related to public actors like the police and the U.S. national security apparatus.
