Jacqueline St. Joan, JD'77

Jacqueline St. Joan was selected to receive the Alumni Professionalism Award for exemplifying ethics in the legal profession and for dedication to pro bono activities and social issues. She helped established the Denver County Protective Orders court, the first in the nation dedicated solely to restraining orders. St. Joan is the editor of the Colorado Domestic Violence Bench Book and is a member of the Supreme Court Multi-Cultural Commission. She was instrumental in helping to organize the Colorado Coalition for Justice for Abused Women and Project Safeguard. St. Joan served as the director of the College of Law’s clinical programs and was a Project Safeguard Award recipient in 2001. Ms. St. Joan was a member of the Independent Investigative Commission Examining the University of Colorado's Athletic Recruitment Practices, University of Colorado Board of Regents in 2004. She currently serves the children of high conflict divorce as Child and Family Investigator (formerly “Special Advocate”), Domestic Relations Decision-maker, Arbitrator, Appointed Judge and Child’s Legal Representative.
