Director, Socio-Legal Studies Program
At Denver Law Randy coordinates academic advising and institutional assessment. He also works with Associate Dean Catherine Smith on pipeline initiatives, designed to increase opportunities to attend law school for students belonging to groups underrepresented in the legal profession. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from Yale University, a J.D. from the University of Arizona, and he earned an A.B. degree at Davidson College. Randy has taught at the University of Texas at Austin, University of Houston, Houston Community College, the University of Arizona and Portland Community College. Before joining Denver Law in 2011, Randy was Associate Director for Faculty Development at the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law. At the University of Denver, along with his work at the law school, he has taught undergraduate courses in the Law & Society Program and since May, 2018, serves as Director of DU's Socio-Legal Studies Program.
