Professor Zokovitch received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She also has a Masters of Studies in Environmental Law, cum laude, from Vermont Law School.
Professor Zokovitch has been teaching full-time for nine years in the areas of property, professional responsibility, environmental, and administrative law. During this time, she has taught doctrinal, clinical, and other skills courses.
Prior to full-time teaching, Professor Zokovitch spent fourteen years working for environmental nonprofits in both attorney and non-attorney roles. Her attorney work began as an Equal Justice Works (formerly known as the National Association of Public Interest Law) Fellow working with two Florida environmental justice communities. Professor Zokovitch’s research and writing focus on environmental justice and professional responsibility.
In addition to classroom teaching, Professor Zokovitch directs DU Law’s Academic Achievement Program (AAP). In this role, she oversees all aspects of the AAP, including oversight of the AAP/Bar Success Resource Center. Professor Zokovitch also provides direct academic counseling to DU Law students.
