Christopher Engle-Newman is currently the Director of the Professional J.D. Program at the Sturm College of Law. He brings a wealth of experience as a student advocate, educator, and higher education administrator. Chris joined the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as an incoming law student in August 2012. As a student, Chris was a teaching assistant for several professors at Denver Law, a Student Attorney in the Community Economic Development Clinic, and served on the Student Bar Association throughout law school. He received several awards for distinction in leadership and academic performance as a student. He joined Denver Law as staff in 2014 as the Finance and Budget Coordinator, served as Assistant Director of Student Affairs until August 2018, and helped students as a Bar Success Coach since graduating in December 2015 and passing the Colorado Bar in February 2016. In addition to his legal training, Chris has a Master of Education in Adult Education and has years of academic training in curriculum and instruction. Additionally, Chris is enrolled in a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology program at the University of Northern Colorado.
