Privacy Law Society (PLS)

Mission Statement

The Privacy Law Society (“P.L.S.”) at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law is a student organization whose mission is to promote awareness, visibility, and discussion of privacy law. In doing so, the Society strives to support the legal education of students interested in privacy law and foster a supportive network between these students and members of the privacy legal profession. The Society envisions the scope of privacy law to include various topics including but not limited to the following: internet privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, constitutional privacy, health privacy, and financial privacy. Additionally, the Society advocates for a wider range of privacy law educational opportunities within the College of Law’s curriculum. Finally, P.L.S. encourages all members—Officials and Executives—to share ideas and current events in the area of privacy law in order to promote this mission.
