Requesting Recordings


Law School Classes


To request a recording of a class, first request permission from the professor to record the class. Then, complete the Taping Request Form, attaching the permission provided from the professor. Requests submitted without professor permission will be denied. If permission was verbally granted, please provide this in your "Reason for Request." Requests should be submitted in a timely manner (ideally within 24 hours) to ensure recording. Recordings are made available for review for two weeks.

Reminder: Reviewing class recordings is not a substitution for in-class attendance.

Law School Events or Presentations

Many presentations or events organized by student organizations and various law departments happen on weekdays due to the large volume of students in the building during the week. To take advantage of the content of these events, you can request a recording following the instructions below:

To request a recording of a law school event, first request permission to record from the event organizer. You can retrieve this information by going to the Law School Events Calendar and clicking on the specific event or by clicking on the information made available in the weekly and daily events and announcements emails from Student Affairs. Then, complete the “Request to Tape a Law School Class or Event” form, attaching the permission provided. Requests submitted without organizer permission will be denied. Requests should be submitted in a timely manner (within 24 hours) to ensure recording. Recordings are made available for review for two weeks.
