Teaching and Mentoring: RMLUI Academic

RMLUI’s teaching component comprises course offerings and the annual Student Award. Additional programs, such as seminars and colloquia, are being developed.

RMLUI also provides Sturm students with practical experiences so they can develop the skills, habits and contacts they will need to be effective sustainable development professionals. Student Research Associates have the opportunity to engage in meaningful research related to RMLUI’s Sustainable Community Development Code Framework. Through the Institute Partners program, offered in conjunction with Sturm’s Legal Externship program, RMLUI’s Research Associates have the opportunity to work closely with the region’s top law and planning firms. In addition, RMLUI has partnerships with a growing number of community and governmental organizations.
