Professional Biography

Jesse Loper is a Clinical Fellow in the Community and Economic Development Clinic at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.  Before joining the Denver Law faculty, Jesse worked at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. While at HUD, he worked with clients across the range of HUD’s program portfolio providing advice and counsel on FHA Multifamily and Single Family programs, Public Housing, Fair Housing Act enforcement, labor relations, and Community Planning and Development programs. Jesse earned his J.D. from Fordham University Law School in 2009 where he was a Stein Scholar for the Public Interest. While in law school, he also received an M.A. in International Political Economy and Development. Prior to law school, Jesse directed an adult English language learning program and an after-school center for at-risk youth at a community based non-profit in New York City. Jesse earned his B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from the University of New Mexico in 2003.
