DU Bar Success Program, Legal Externships
Christopher Newman teaches courses on the foundations for practice with the Sturm College of Law's Legal Externship Program. He also teaches and coaches in the DU Bar Success Program and other courses helping prepare JD graduates for the bar exam. Newman is a J.D. graduate of the Sturm College of Law, member of the Colorado Bar, and faculty within Denver Law's externship program. Prior to and since law school, Newman has over a decade of experience in graduate higher education, primarily within serving students and supporting them through their graduate degrees. He also coordinated the launch of the law school's hybrid and weekend Professional Part-Time JD Program. Newman's focus in legal education is to develop practice-ready law graduates through professional skills development, sharpening critical thinking and reasoning skills, and mastering strategies for the bar exam.
