Supplementary Online Course
Materials
You may find supplementary course materials online in one of
three venues: TWEN, Blackboard and Web Pages. Your professors
will let you know which system they will use with your class.
The Sturm College of Law uses a law-related online course
management software platform TWEN* (The West Education
Network) and Blackboard ** for online course management software.
Some professors prefer to post course materials directly to a
Web Page and they do not use an online platform.
Professors can use course management software to post course
materials online and provide
access to online communication tools such as email and
asynchronous, threaded discussion boards. Each platform
offers features that may or may not be activated by your
professor. Not all professors post course materials online.
To help you link to online materials for your courses, we
have created Unit Web Pages. These pages are currently
under construction and will be updated frequently until
Orientation. Click on your
assigned unit to see your
courses with links to the online system being used by your
professor.
*You will use your Westlaw
password to access course materials posted in TWEN and you will
use your Lexis password to access course materials posted in
Lexis-Nexis Web Courses.
**you will use your Banner ID
and Passcode to access Blackboard. |
