Recent Updates

My book, Law School 2.0: Legal Education for a Digital Age was published in January. More information about the book can be found here.

I gave a presentation in Indianapolis in July at the 2008 biennial conference of the Legal Writing Institute about teaching legal writing online. My presentation, with the slides in several formats and supporting resources, can be found here.

I gave a presentation in New York about laptops in the classroom at the 2008 American Association of Law Schools meeting; it was part of a debate about whether they should be banned.  An overview of my contribution to this program, together with the slides, can be found here.

I have created a new page that contains links to all my student evaluations since I started teaching full time at DU.  You will find it here.

Hello,

and welcome to my faculty Web site at the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.  Here you will find information about me, the courses I teach, my education, experience, and background, and my research interests.

Courses I Teach:
In the Fall and Spring Semesters, I teach one section of Lawyering Process, which is the Introduction to the Law course required for all first year students.

In the Fall term I teach a course called Discovery Practicum, which is an intensive introduction to the period of a litigation when parties exchange information about a case, and prepare for trial or settlement.

In the Spring term, I teach a course in the study of Knowledge Management, in the MSLA program.  This course I teach completely online.

Occasionally, I also teach Administrative Law, in addition to teaching LP.  You will find more information about these courses by clicking the Courses link at the left (and below).

If you need a copy of my CV, you will find it on the About Me page.
