I gave a presentation in Indianapolis in July at the 2008 biennial conference of the Legal Writing Institute about teaching legal writing online. My presentation, with the slides in several formats and supporting resources, can be found here.

I gave a presentation in New York about laptops in the classroom at the 2008 American Association of Law Schools meeting; it was part of a debate about whether they should be banned.  An overview of my contribution to this program, together with the slides, can be found here.

I have created a new page that contains links to all my student evaluations since I started teaching full time at DU.  You will find it here.

Spring Semester 2010 - Section 2C

Lawyering Process is a required first-year course that provides an introduction to the law and the legal system and teaches students how to research legal questions and write about them in several formats.

In the spring semester of Lawyering Process we learn about persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy.

The Syllabus (in calendar form) for the Spring Semester 2010 is available at this link.   You should also read carefully the LP Course Policies document - this contains important information about the operation of the course.  Our courseware site for this class will be hosted on Blackboard.  Click here to access the Blackboard site.  There will be an advance assignment for the first class - please consult the syllabus for information about this.

My office hours for this section of LP will be Tuesdays, between 2:30 and 4 p.m., or by appointment.

Our Teaching Assistants for this section will be Eileen Joy (3L) and Ian London (2L).

Click here if you would like to read student evaluations I have received in Lawyering Process.  You might also want to read my Philosophy of Teaching.

If you need a copy of my CV, you will find it on the About Me page.
