02/06/04 - Unplanned Outage and Server Room Reorganization Today the servers were placed into some shelving which makes better use of the space in the server room. Three tables worth of equipment is now consolidated into the space previously taken up by one table. Web, POP access to email, Oracle, and telnet/SSH logins to cs.du.edu were unavailable from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, and briefly again at 5:00 PM when the battery unexpectedly failed on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Incoming and outgoing email, access to email via IMAP, and access to the Sun lab were not affected by today's work. Thanks for your patients and willingness to logout when asked, while we get a bit more breathing room in the server room.

01/19/04 - Prescheduled System Maintenance From 8:00 PM through 11:30 PM various services (email, web, telnet/SSH/FTP logins, Etc) were unavailable while the servers were backed up and various other maintenance tasks were performed. All is back up and working properly - thanks for your patients.

01/08/04 - PCs in the Sun Lab The Sun Lab doesn't just have Suns any more. For more information, visit the PCs page
