Learning by doing and learning by serving others are lifelong values that permeate the teaching environment at the University of Denver College of Law. Over 80 percent of our graduates take at least one clinic or internship during their law school careers, and 20 percent take both a clinic and an internship. Many of our graduates express that their
work in clinical programs was the most valuable part of their law school careers.

And clinical programs at the College of Law are growing! In the past few years we have added a Child Advocacy Clinic and an Environmental Law Clinic. Next year we will add a Civil Rights Clinic and a Family Law Clinic. Today the College of Law continues to provide leadership in integrating legal theory while helping real people, not only in our live-client clinics but through internships as well.

"I went to law school to become an environmental attorney. When I first started law school, Professor Cheever talked to me about [attorney Susan Daggett's] Endangered Species Act work. I remember thinking, I hope I can be like that someday. I feel very fortunate to have participated in the clinic. It was the best experience I had in law school."
