16th Street Mall
The Mall is a tree-lined, pedestrian promenade that runs through the center of downtown one block away from the Hyatt. Lined with outdoor cafes, renovated historic office buildings, shops, restaurants and department stores. Free shuttle buses cruise the 16 block long Mall every 90 seconds. Butterfly Pavilion & Insect Center
Featuring a lush tropical forest with over 1,200 free-flying butterflies, and an insect center with insects from around the world.
Cherry Creek Trail
The trail provides an escape from the city streets for walkers, bikers, and skaters. Located three blocks from the Hyatt.
The Children's Museum
Features interactive playscapes where children (newborn-8 years) can touch and explore, try out roles and pretend.
Colorado State Capitol
Visit the three Mile High Markers, Allen True water murals, Women's Gold Tapestry, Colorado General Assembly Chambers and the rose onyx wainscoting. Free tours Mon.-Fri.
Coors Brewing Company
The tour includes a 40-minute walk-through, sampling of Coors products, shopping in the gift shop. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
Denver Botanic Gardens
Denver Botanic Gardens has been a favorite Denver destination for 50 years. Art and science unite in the gardens’ spectacular 23-acre site, offering an unforgettable experience. Now on display in the gardens: Living Bronze Sculptures by Robert Wick.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Explore fantastic fossils, stimulating space science activities, view amazing gems and minerals, Egyptian mummies, and much more. Watch exciting IMAX films and one of the best planetariums in the country. Current special exhibit is Body Worlds 2.
Denver Zoo
Denver Zoo, located in City Park, spans over 75 acres and is home to over 4,000 animals including rare amur leopards, okapi, black rhinoceros, elephants, vampire bats, orangutan, Komodo dragons and more!
Downtown Aquarium
This world-class aquarium includes swimming tigers in addition to fish. There is also a restaurant that surrounds part of the aquarium.
Larimer Square
Denver’s urban shopping and dining district. Victorian buildings, house specialty boutiques and unique chef-driven restaurants. A few blocks from Hyatt.
LoDo District
Lower Downtown is home to more than 20 art galleries, 100 restaurants and clubs, and Coors Field.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre
The naturally formed, world-renowned outdoor amphitheatre is located just fifteen miles west of Denver and hosts concerts throughout the summer season. Red Rocks Park encompasses 818 acres and is open to hikers and sightseers year-round. The Visitor Center features a restaurant and lounge, and an amazing display chronicling the Amphitheatre’s geologic evolution and entertainment history.
Six Flags Elitch Gardens
Get your roller coaster fix at Denver's downtown amusement park. Six Flags is a little over a mile from the Hyatt and is on the light rail line.
U.S. Mint
The Denver Mint provides free walk-up tours on a space-available basis. The gift shop offers souvenirs and coin and money-related gifts from traditional Mint numismatic coin collectibles to clothing, toys, and games.
