Settings for Email
This information is for Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff of Sturm College of Law University of Denver whose accounts are hosted on the Microsoft cloud.
iPhone Settings
- Under settings, go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars

- Click on Add Account

- Select Microsoft Exchange as the account type.

- Enter your username (your full email address) and your password. Enter what you want your account to be called. This should be all you need if you have the latest version of IOS. If you do not have the laste version, consider updating to it.

- It may take some time to verify the account.

If the account does not verify and asks for a server and domain use pod51011.outlook.com for the server, leave the domain blank, and use your entire email address for the username. - Make sure the elements of outlook you want to synchronize are turned own and save the account.

Android Settings
There are many versions of Androids, so you may see slightly different prompts.
- Under Settings>>Accounts and Sync, Add an account. Choose Corporate as the type.

- Enter your email address and password.

- The domain is law.du.edu. Your username is your full email address. The server name is pod51011.outlook.com. Next.

- Click OK.

- Set these as you choose. The option that people most often change is the Days to Sync.

- This is indeed a scary warning, but what “Erase all data” refers to a feature on Outlook Web Access. If your phone is lost or stolen, you can log into OWA and remotely prompt the factory reset of your phone to secure your data.

- Name your account in a way that makes sense to you.

Windows 7/8 Phones
- Go to Settings.

- Go to email + accounts.

- Add an account.

- Choose Outlook as the type of account.

- Enter your full email address and password and sign in.

- Click done.







Other Settings
We recommend that you use Exchange Sync if at all possible, but if you do need to use some other set up, here is a reference for settings. This information is also available if you log into your account in Outlook Web Access and click on See All Options in the upper right of screen. Under My Account, choose the link “Settings for POP, IMAP, and SMTP access…”

Email Settings for non-Cloud Users
We recommend against popping student email. For most clients use an exchange connector instead. Incoming students are on the new server. Use cas.law.du.edu as the server name.
