Mission Statement
The University of Denver College of Law’s Social Justice Action Group is dedicated to furthering social justice in Colorado and nationwide by providing research, writing and strategic planning assistance to organizations passionate about and committed to effecting social change.
Our Philosophy
S-JAG is committed to three philosophical ideals. One, students gain legal experience and work with seasoned attorneys so that they will develop strong lawyering skills and become outstanding practitioners. Two, attorneys assisted by S-JAG will receive four students per project, and as a result, they will provide better services for their clients. Three, S-JAG provides an avenue for and fuels the passion of students who entered law school to pursue public interest. Because of the vastly growing group, S-JAG does not limit its services to particular areas. S-JAG services attorneys in areas including health care, civil rights, environmental justice, criminal law and legislation reform.
