National Lawyers Guild
Mission Statement
The National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to the need for basic and progressive change in the structure of our political and economic system. Through its members – lawyers, law students, jailhouse lawyers and legal workers united in chapters and committees – the Guild works locally, nationally and internationally as an effective political and social force in the service of the people.

Events
Summer 2008: This summer Denver will be hosting the Democratic National Convention. The National Lawyers Guild DU student chapter is looking for enthusiastic law students to help with the People’s Law Project.
August/September 2008: Free Speech Week; Educate Students on Free Speech Issues, especially as they relate to the upcoming 2008 DNC.
October 2008: Poverty Week Educate Students on Poverty Issues.
October 15-19, 2008: National Lawyer’s Guild Convention in Detroit, Michigan.
March 2009: Criminal Justice Week Educate Students on Criminal Justice Issues.
